College graduates should be the driving force of the nation and are no longer a burden on the state.

This expectation was expressed by the Secretary General of the Indonesian State Higher Education (MRPTNI) Chancellor, Dr. Dwia Tina Aries Pulubuhu MA, at the Public Hearings Meeting (RDPU) with Commission X of the Indonesian House of Representatives in Nusantara II Building, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Monday (19/3).

"The aim of the tertiary institution is to produce graduates who can become entrepreneurs, no longer a burden but can become Indonesia's driving motorists," said Dwia Tina Aries

Because there are already many PTN alumni who are a burden on the state, he will evaluate the strengthening of post-graduate education in the country, especially in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics as a solution.

"We hope that these graduates can strengthen product innovation through these basic sciences so that the country is able to compete and be recognized globally," Dwia said. Education Abandoned.

In the meeting, Dwia also revealed that many PTNs lacked buildings because the construction was stalled. The lack of educational infrastructure disrupts the performance of the MRPTNI.

He appealed to the government to pay more attention to the world of education not only to its physical development but also to the essence of its own education.

"The government also needs to provide financial support so students in the country can go abroad and smart children can have the opportunity to study abroad," Dwia said.

He touched on government policies that were intensively building physical infrastructure but seemed to forget the national education sector.

"If the government builds large-scale infrastructure, is it not considered development in the education sector?" Dwia sarcastically.
